Overview

The Singasiza Schools Support Initiative partners with local schools near our Good News Centres to strengthen education and provide extra support for children in need. For over 15 years, COPTrust volunteers have built strong, trusting relationships with teachers and principals, working together to create better learning environments and brighter futures for learners.

Building Strong Communities

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Early Grade Support – Volunteers provide literacy and numeracy lessons in school classrooms for learners, giving them the essential building blocks for success. Partner schools include Entukuluweni Primary, Clernaville Primary, and Christianenburg Primary.
  • Feeding Support – Nutritious meals for children who arrive at school hungry, ensuring they can focus and participate fully in learning activities.


IMPACT SO FAR

  • Over 250 learners supported annually across partner schools.
  • Teachers report improved understanding in numeracy and greater classroom participation.
  • 60 children benefit weekly from our school feeding programme, ensuring they learn on a full stomach.
  • More than 15 years of partnership have strengthened bonds between volunteers, teachers, and students.
