COPT celebrated Madiba day on Saturday 18th of July at our Clermont Community Centre. The children who support a number of COPT programs were given the opportunity to invite their parents over for lunch. A number of volunteers helped out with the making of chicken curry, rice and salad. Parents were treated to some songs prepared by the children and then served lunch. The children iced cupcakes in colours of the South African flag and were reminded of how the late Madiba once said –
‘What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead’.
